and fulfillment Company. Helmes Capital
was brought into the deal by the M&A group who was engaged in restructuring
the foreign parent. The M&A group
looked to Helmes Capital to help them streamline the U.S. financing options by
locating and working with a creative flexible lender. The lender was able to underwrite and structure
a deal in a timely manner for this complicated cross border transaction.
INVENTORY FINANCING
- Helmes Capital worked directly with the Borrower to secure an inventory financing line. The Borrower had limited financing options and was unable to purchase the required inventory. Helmes Capital's experience, specifically in this niche segment, helped identify and structure an option that worked extremely well for the Borrower. This option was especially attractive to the Borrower, since it did not result in any equity dilution to the Company's shareholders.
SPECIALTY FINANCE
- With the economic downturn, the secondary market for bank loan trading began to consolidate. A large international investment bank looked to Helmes Capital to advise and help sell off small pieces of bank notes that had limited trading options. Helmes Capital brought in a mid-sized hedge fund to successfully purchase these bank notes.
- Helmes Capital worked with a large Private Equity Firm and offered a buyout on a piece of distressed equity that the PE firm held. This is a continued effort in locating and buying pieces of distressed equity that tend to fall below minimum thresholds. Helmes Capital was able to act extremely quickly in order for the PE Firm to meet their tight time frame.
ADVISORY
- A Northeast building supply Company looked to Helmes Capital for its knowledge and long history within the finance community. Helmes Capital was hired directly by the Company to help advise and restructure its current troubled debt obligations. The Company was able to take advantage of negotiated discounts and now is in a strong position for a financial rebound.
- Helmes Capital worked to help finance a troubled Borrower by structuring a new working capital facility. The Borrower was originally introduced to Helmes Capital by a bank that declined the credit. Helmes Capital worked with experts in the financial marketplace to help identify the correct financial institution to take over the credit.
